There will be three tiers of domestic competition available at GESAC.

In the Domestic Development competition the emphasis will be on teaching kids the game and developing their skills and knowledge of the rules and etiquettes of the game. While there will be games each week there will be no ladders kept and no emphasis on win at all cost attitudes than can be observed in many competitions.

We will have rules in place to encourage this emphasis on teaching and development and where required we will communicate with and direct coaches towards this goal.

At the completion of the season rather than a finals series the Warriors will conduct a "round robin" series instead, with all participants being recognised.

In constructing the competition in this manner we will achieve the following.

►A great environment for the kids to play in
►A competition that will take away the stress of competition until a team
    or individual is ready for that challenge.
►A competition where the emphasis will be on providing opportunity,
    eductaion, participation and enjoyment.
►A competition where Warriors club officials will be empowered to direct
    coaches to give a child court time and to prevent any tactics or strategies
    that compromise the intentions of this development competition.
►A competition that will provide a stepping stone for kids from our
    introductory programs Kids First & Hot Shots into domestic competition.
►A competition that will allow our youngest and newest referees a
    competition to develop in that is an environment that is stress free and
    will prepare them for the tougher competitions ahead of them.
►This competition will be a great way to introduce parents, players,
    coaches and referees to competition basketball in a manner that
    eliminates much of the stress and gives all the participants the ability
    concentrate on teaching and learning the game without the pressure of
    feeling you need to win each game to make finals.
►Most Importantly this competition prepares all participants to advance
    into the Warriors advanced domestic competitions when ready.
