VJBL REPRESENTATIVE
COMPETITIONS

The Warriors best junior teams play in Basketball Victoria's VJBL representative competitions. These games are conducted on Friday nights on a home and away basis and the Warriors will be excited to host Warriors home games at the new GESAC venue.

To be a part of the Warriors representative teams you need to attend the tryouts to be conducted in September. Details for these tryouts will be placed on this website in coming weeks. Representative squads are made up of players whose basketball development has progressed beyond domestic basketball and is ready to face the challenge of playing against the best players and teams from other Associations.

Representative basketball in Melbourne is the highest standard of junior basketball in Australia outside state and national competitions. Victoria's and in particular Melbourne's representative competitions is of the highest standard with the greatest depth of any junior competition in Australia.

The Warriors have commenced their journey in this level of competition with some extraordinary success with several tournament wins and a team in Victorian Championships (the State's highest grade of competition) in only its second year. This sort of achievement is unheard of from such a young club.

One of the reasons for this is an excellent coaching team that works towards a common program. This has lead to our team's achieving significant results despite our smaller size. The club and our coaching staff have more ambitious plans for our teams and our program as they continue to grow and develop it. The Warriors will be an exciting program to be a part off in coming seasons with a great coaching, a great new venue and a some great ambition and energy for our program.

Tryouts are only one way to become involved in the Warriors program. The Warriors will be holding development training for any players interested on a weekly basis throughout term three.
